i am sure everyone is pounding away at their new years resolutions -- good for you!
however, for myself, i have made no promises. my goal is to advance and get ahead in my "work world" and hope to find new, inspiring, and productive opportunities...

tricks or treats...
hope everyone had a merry little weekend...
great weekend of college and pro football...nba games are starting up....great weather...hello fall and winter seasons! (*though not looking forward to time change next week...)

november is prostate cancer awareness month and since we all have a daddy, brother, boyfriend, husband, stranger we wish was a boyfriend, etc lets encourage them to get tested and make aware the dangers of this disease!

thank gosh it is the weekend...hope everyone enjoy's their Halloween!
big football games this weekend, UGA vs UF. One writer for the AJC in Atlanta noted that it could be quite the scene with UGA fans waving cell phones and UF fans waving red panties...ha
rumors are also circulating that Oregon band will play Rocky Top after it scores on USC out in LA. That would make my day!
November 1 is Monday, so next week there will be a plethora of basketball links and previews -- love that there are basketball games on TV now!

tornado watches/warnings in atlanta all day today...i keep seeing light flashes and hearing heavy rain and thunder...which leads me to wish i was in my bed...but nonetheless, i am slaving away at work planning some parties and events (*song currently playing on pandora that i am loving: rick ross - aston martin music, love the beat and smoothness)

*Great read by Dan Wolken out of Memphis. I love his comments in the beginning where he talks about people over looked Kendrick's "problems" due to his athletic ability. So many of these guys are wined and dined, told how they are the next MJ or Kobe, and have no sense of accountability or work ethic. Such a shame because if these guys can surround themselves with people who truly care about them -- they can find/have opportunities to make those dreams come true.

listen to the music...
crazy weather day in the atl with wind, rain, and heat...i am ready for mid 60-70 degree weather...
a lot of entertaining sports/fluff news...enjoy the links:
- john daly played golf better drunk (or so he says)
- jeff goodman visits college practices as they tip off college basketball season
*These are great videos that really humanize these coaches and players. It is great to see these guys interact in practice, see where they work, and hear their thoughts before the season kicks off. It would be interesting to go back at the end of the season and see how much attitudes/thoughts have changed.
- solid SEC preview by a katz
*Can't wait to see who shows up this season in the SEC. I think both the East & West will bring competitive play night in and night out.
- this is great - go titans go!
*i would totally kick it with jeff fisher out...just saying
- who knew snoop loved the hogs???
- um, they are adorable
*love them. JT needs to drop another album. I still recall his concert back in Nashville a few years ago (thanks becca!) where we are kicking it up front with Timbaland -- then ride up the elevator with JT for the private after party.
