one shining moment...
so i survived the detroit area/final four this past weekend...another successful trip and good time...spotted a lot of "stars" in the basketball community as well...
detroit was nicer than i expected...which might have been because i had prepared myself for terrible conditions...but anyways...not the best host site for the event though...yes ford field is huge and brand new...but the "extra" benefits the city had to offer were mediocre...
however, they did have casinos...and if they didn't have casino's i think people would of jumped in the river from boredom...ha.
i had my first out of the country experience while in detroit...we made a jaunt over to windsor, canada...there was another casino there (see a trend?)...also some decent late night spots...customs was interesting...and people judged my hot pink passport cover...but i just said hi haters!
went to adidas party on friday night...good times for sure...mixed and mingled with coaches and players from all over...
fave coach run in: university of kansas coach, bill self
self was just recognized as coach of the year and fresh off the 2008 NCAA national championship game...he was very cordial and answered all my random questions i had for him...we ran into him throughout the weekend and he would always stop and speak...call me a new self fan!
fave player run in: davidson university guard, stephen curry
curry was adorable and easy to talk with...
pics to follow come shortly.

dollar dollar bills yall....
ok ok...so its been quite some time since last posting....my apologies...
obviously there has been lots going on since last reporting...
what is on my mind most right now is these college basketball coaching changes....wowzers.
*the money/benefits kentucky just gave to calipari is crazy...i mean i would take it too! (i knew i should of applied for that job)
but when is a university going to say enough is enough...money talks. but calipari has never even won a ncaa championship...yes he does have the charisma, the backbone, the recruiting, and winning records over the last few years- so we shall see...lets hope this hire bodes well for the cats...i like the hire for them-because i am not sure who they would have gotten had he spurned them...
*kinda like arizona now...reports are out that tim floyd of USC is going to be the next wildcats coach...but i am not sold on him...i feel as though he is fishy...the one thing i do like is master p's son- lil romeo- played for him last year...fun fact!
*rumors on the net are that memphis is offering our own ut boy b. pearl $21 mil for 7 years...allegedly bruce is/has interviewed...we shall say.
*motown thoughts:
so the final four starts up this weekend...i do not have a clear cut favorite in the field...i like/appreciate/pulling for different people/teams for random circumstances...ha.
after seeing UNC play 2 games in memphis, i left very impressed with t. lawson...kid is quick as a cat and has great composure for leading his team...not impressed with t. hansbrough- kid was over animated and i felt had a bit of an attitude...the media loves him though and gives him praise- a la dane bradshaw - but his overall ability i feel is over rated...
not a fan of really anything or anyone UCONN...sorry bout it but i hope the cheaters on the men's and women's side lose...moving on.
i appreciate s. reynolds of nova...read some good articles on him and his last second drive to put them in the final four was sweet...(where was the defense pitt?!) and jay wright is a top notched dressed coach...i appreciate that as well!
everyone is loving the feel good story of michigan state...everyone is hoping it can give some joy and excitement for the state...i respect t. izzo and i have enjoyed watching raymar morgan since last year...poor kid has a broken nose now but i have a feeling the spartans will be ready and look to rep well for the MI.
quick little update...post comments or give feedback!
